Bliss in Asolo, Italy

At lunch today under a wisteria canopied cafe in the town square, the family sitting next to us (from Munich) were pleased that we were visiting Europe for a month.... "Most Americans come for a week"... Why travel 6,000+ miles for a week? Yesterday when we arrived at our villa in Asolo, I reached a point of bliss... breathtaking for me... Today I can simply Enjoy... No worries, no cares, no problems... until the ATM card doesn't work of course....

Everything is blooming... So many types of flowers, shrubs, trees.... 75 degrees Farenheit, sunny... Spring is here....
Billions of dollars to build the new Bay Bridge, but finely stacked rock walls have lasted 600 years and cost far less I am sure!!
The Italians love their dogs...

I need to get some of these for my neighborhood!  More interesting than No Parking Fire Lane!
A solar powered Roomba to mow the lawn... Awesome!
This is the entrance to our Borgo where the villa is located... an old posh boarding school converted into villas... authentic on the outside, very modern on the inside...
Our BMW touring wagon.... In 7 days and 600km, we've used 30 liters of diesel (10 gallons)... Europeans have mastered the balance of the price of petrol with fuel consumption...
We could all have a bit more statuary in our gardens!!
Our friend Frederic arrives tonight, and we secured a lovely converted barn 2km away for him (we can see each other across the valley!)
The view from the room size shower... You cannot tell from the picture, but the view extends to the mountains looming beyond...
Mark is giving treats to the local canine and feline community....
This is where I am sitting right now!!!

I have no words, but it's popular at the store...
For Tom, cheesy poofs with bacon...
My best to everyone.... BTW, everything shuts down from 1:30 to 3:30 for civilized naps!!!  Time for ours.... Ciao!
