Never enough time to see everything....

I just spent an hour composing an awesome blog for today before Blogger crashed.... In a nutshell...

Bruschetta Maker ... Who knew they made them...yummy crusty bread with fresh tomatoes and anything else you want added, handmade
Salami ... Who knew you could get one as big as a Fiat Tire...

Best quote today...
House hunting... Cheap for having your own Tiepolo fresco in your living room... Housing here comes with an Energy Efficient rating... kind of cool.  Checked my house after we got back tonight to see my solar is providing 150% of my energy, and my Ecobee reports the temperature at home is a comfortable 65 degrees with everything turned off.

Bought some new shoes today. The company donates a percentage of profits to hungry children around the world... www.webelieveinpeople.org. ... soles made from recycled sources... But they aren't Vegan... I'm not eating the hand sewn leather... At least this restaurant was clear about their non-Vegan menu....

And a lovely afternoon in the Jewish Ghetto... Full Definition of GHETTO. 1 : a quarter of a city in which Jews were formerly required to live. 2 : a quarter of a city in which members of a minority group live especially because of social, legal, or economic pressure. In 1990, my first visit to a synagogue was in Venice.  The Venetians hid thousands of Jews in a section of the city during the Nazi regime... The synagogue is disguised as another bldg of apartments, but inside is amazing.  There are carefully located gates that would close off this quarter during the Nazi reign...

A great last day in Venezia... Tomorrow we move to our villa with a view in the medieval village hill town of Asolo.... Awesome!  New adventures from the Veneto region coming soon... Full day agendas... Might have to get out of bed before 9am!
